The God Box! Turning the difficulty of grieving into a phenomenal opportunity

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on The God Box! Turning the difficulty of grieving into a phenomenal opportunity

Talk about turning a difficult situation into a remarkable opportunity! The New York Times best-selling author of the God Box, Mary Lou Quinlan made a special guest appearance in Freehold Saturday, May 25th. For approximately a year he has been taking her one woman theatrical performance on the road to help raise money for various charities. According to Mary Lou she’s been able to raise nearly $150,000 for various charities. On Saturday more than 200 people showed up to see her God Box one woman performance and to support GIERS, A local charity providing grief counseling. The beautiful theater at Applewood Estates provided a great atmosphere for the event. I bought my 69-year-old mother and another close friend who is a mother of three and they both thoroughly enjoyed the performance.  I felt Mary Lou Quinlan’s performance was heartfelt and touching and that she made an important impact on the audience. Many audience participants shared stories of loss and grief. She’s managed to turn the grief over losing her mother into an opportunity to raise thousands of dollars and create a healing best-selling memoir.

Think First National VIP Award

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Think First National VIP Award

Great News! I was nominated and won the Think first national VIP award. The Kessler foundation has generously offered to sponsor my trip to the ThinkFirst convention where I will be accepting the award. When Susan the ThinkFirst coordinator for The Kessler Foundation in New Jersey asked me some information on my background it was an incredible reminder of how many opportunities I’ve gotten as a direct result of my injury. Including the chance to speak to nearly 40,000 elementary and high school students through 400 presentations. Thank you to everyone at ThinkFirst New Jersey and the Kessler foundation. Not to mention all of the school staff that have invited us throughout the years.

Cinnaminson library speech 1/9/13

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Cinnaminson library speech 1/9/13

Hello All,

Thanks to the Fine Speakers Bureau, I was invited to speak and present a workshop at the Cinnaminson library in western New Jersey. The good news is I sold a book to every attendee. My presentation focused on how to take difficult situations and turn them into opportunities. I recently released a book titled The Secret of Difficulties: 4 Steps To Turn Tragedies into Opportunities which shares practical and inspirational thoughts on using challenges to your advantages. It profiles individuals that became successful not despite their difficulty, but as a result of facing and overcoming them.
